Book Review: Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke

My book club is reading Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke this month, and it’s been a thrilling and provocative read. I’m so excited to hear what the rest of the group things, but this is one of the most interesting and engaging novels I’ve read this year. It absolutely lives up to the hype.

Book Review: Rain of Shadows and Endings by Melissa K. Roehrich

Rain of Shadows and Endings isn’t falling at the top of my book recommendations for this year. I’ll admit, this book was a struggle to get through, and I can say with certainty that I won’t be reading on in this series. I struggled a lot with the themes and the violence in this book. This book won’t be for everyone, and it definitely wasn’t for me.

Book Review: Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross

Rebecca Ross’s Wild Reverence is a beautifully written tale of a goddess who, against all odds, falls in love with a mortal. Matilda is meant to be a lowly goddess, but she burns brightly with a fire that ignites her spirit and sparks her movement between the realms. The world Ross constructs is masterful and her characters breathtaking. This is a tale of woman’s to span the ages, the realms, and death itself.

Book Review: Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy

Amidst rising sea levels, Shearwater’s seed bank holds the future. Secrets emerge as storms rage, and trust is almost impossible to find in this isolated world.

Book Review: I’ll Be Waiting for You by Mariko Turk

Natalie and Imogen’s bond transcends the ordinary, entwined by their shared passion for the supernatural. After Imogen’s untimely death, Natalie turns to the Harlow Hotel’s mysteries, blending her grief with her love for horror. This young adult novel explores themes of loss, healing, and the haunting connections between the living and the dead.

Book Review: Postscript by Cory McCarthy

Amidst ruins and regrets, West’s gentle wisdom weaves a tapestry of trust and unity, proving that even in the end, beauty and love endure.

Book Review: Show by Shane Peacock

Discover a captivating tale of adventure and resistance in an alternate 1899. Solomon Hunt and his diverse troupe defy oppressive forces, forging a path of freedom and self-expression against all odds.

Book Review: Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven

It’s been a little while since I’ve brought you a review. Mom life is chaotic these days and even though we’re buried in snow here, I still can’t seem to find time to sit down and write a review, let alone read. But here you go, a few weeks back I finished Our Infinite Fates. This one has been on my TBR for a while, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Book Review: The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent

As we’re heading into winter, I’ve been cozied up with my crochet project and a copy of The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by #CarissaBroadbent. I’ll admit that this book took a little longer than usual to get through—a little less reading and a little too much Netflix—but I still enjoyed this second book in the #CrownsofNyaxia series.

Book Review: The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon

Ariel Lawhon’s The Frozen River is a profoundly moving historical fiction that I’ve been honoured to read along with a group of friends. Our book club has been loving this novel and I’ve been transported back over two hundred years. It’s been the perfect #fallread.
