Rain of Shadows and Endings isn’t falling at the top of my book recommendations for this year. I’ll admit, this book was a struggle to get through, and I can say with certainty that I won’t be reading on in this series. I struggled a lot with the themes and the violence in this book. This book won’t be for everyone, and it definitely wasn’t for me.

As we’re heading into winter, I’ve been cozied up with my crochet project and a copy of The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by #CarissaBroadbent. I’ll admit that this book took a little longer than usual to get through—a little less reading and a little too much Netflix—but I still enjoyed this second book in the #CrownsofNyaxia series.

Self care for me this month has been reading, crochet, and skin care. The ritual of taking care of my skin, crocheting another round for a blanket, then listening to Zodiac Academy has been bringing me so much joy.
