Synopsis from Goodreads:
This beautifully illustrated board book highlights true stories of black men in history. The exceptional men featured include artist Aaron Douglas, civil rights leader John Lewis, dancer Alvin Ailey, lawman Bass Reeves, tennis champion Arthur Ashe, and writer James Baldwin. The legends in this book span centuries and continents, but what they have in common is that each one has blazed a trail for generations to come.

Follow Your Dreams, Little One is an illustrated introduction to black men in history for little readers. This board book is full of beautiful and detailed illustrations of these prominent men, accompanied by a short description of their meaningful contributions to the world. I myself learned a few things as I read this book for the first time with my son. We enjoyed reading about these trailblazers and learning about what it means to be a leader. It’s an important collection about inspiring individuals that teaches kids about important contributions to history and will hopefully inspire a new generation of young leaders who will grow up to go out and change the world. It was short, sweet, and perfect for story time. I hope you and your little readers will enjoy it as much as we did!

Happy reading!
